Refusing to bow to stereotypes of the typical Lao woman Aluna is a fiercely creative and independent songwriter. Influenced by western pop from the 60s and 70s as well as her travels in Europe and Australia, Aluna’s music subtly pushes the boundaries of conservative Lao society.
Aluna is currently hard at work with local producers Mr. Mee and Sam on her second album slated for release in early 2008.
